Scope & Function

- “CARS TO TREES” system will utilize the vehicle’s Potential Energy i.e. ; forward motion, miles traveled, airflow, velocity, engine’s wasted thermal energy, and other unused potential energy  in vehicles moving toward CO2 capture and Direct Air Carbon Capture (DAC ).

- The win-win-win advantage of using the vehicles in this System is that the cars are in motion for their purposes every day.  They are adding greenhouse gas emissions of about five metric tons to the air every year. But by equipping vehicles to the “CARS TO TREES” System, each Car would be capable of pulling out 8-10 metric tons of CO2 during their forward motion every year. Simply by doing what they are already doing, the vehicles equipped with the “CARS TO TREES” System will be nonstationary and mobile processing plants of “Direct Air Carbon Capture (DAC )” and air cleaners of CO2 at a global scale.

- Utilizing The captured carbon dioxide (CO2) Which is usable in “Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) industries.Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) that created the demand on Carbon usage, and is working in many fields such as Carbon-neutral fuel, Methanol fuel, Chemical synthesis, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), Carbon mineralization, Biofuel from microalgae, Agriculture, Foods and beverage, Fire extinguisher, Welding industries, etc. Doing the math, demonstrates that the price of the CO2 captured by each Car by the CARS TO TRESS system (8-10 tons /Year ) would be equal to 40 -50 % of Car’s fuel cost as Mileage/Gallon for each vehicle every year.  Clearly this is a significant cost reclamation for vehicle owners. Their participation automatically becomes their incentive in using the “CARS TO TREES” system.

- Cost of the CO2 in all pre-existing DAC’s is the primary consideration and the main challenge on the scale-up processes for these applications. Per the current stationary status, the cost of the required energy during the work process will be unavoidably high. In all current DAC’s, the cost of providing the kinetic energy (positive airflow) affects the CO2 captured costs. In comparison, the “CARS TO TREES,” System will be free of cost for most of its power up’s required energy. Due to the utilization of prepaid kinetic energy and waste potentials of vehicles in the “CARS TO TREES” System, the cost of captured CO2 will be significantly lower compared to the current DAC’s.

- Feasible Throughput: “CARS TO TREES” System will use the mobility, potential energy, and waste energies from vehicles to capture CO2 directly from ambient air. The air passes through the CARS TO TREES membrane system and separates the CO2 from the air emissions like all other pre-existing DAC’s. The estimate of CO2 capture in the “CARS TO TREES” system will be about 25kg /day, which is about 8-9 metric tons for each Car per year. Additionally, we know that for cleaning one ton of CO2/year, needs approximately 50 mature trees.  So by gathering the data in this equation, it will be concluded that each Car which equipped with “CARS TO TREES” system will be equal to about 9 * 50 = 450 mature trees in the air cleaning process per year. By looking deep through these simple formulas, if each Car could be equal to 450 mature trees in carbon removal.  So deployment of the  “CARS TO TREES,” global innovation we will create many  “Virtual Jungles In Motion” in the field of air cleaning at the worldwide level.
